BlaBlaCar unveils new visual identity to embody its global travel platform ambition

17/02/2026

Paris, February 16, 2026 – BlaBlaCar, the world leader in shared travel, today announces a major evolution of its brand identity. Eight years after its last update, this modernized identity embodies BlaBlaCar’s ambition: to become the go-to app for all shared travel by unifying carpooling, buses, and trains within a global mobility experience.

An Identity Serving a Multimodal Vision

Since its creation, BlaBlaCar has turned carpooling into a global habit. Once a pioneer startup, it is now the mobility benchmark in numerous countries. Today, the platform aims to become the one-stop shop for traveling everywhere at the best price. This strategic evolution required a visual signature capable of linking these different modes of transport in a consistent and distinctive way.

"Our brand had to evolve to reflect what we have become: a global travel platform," explains Caroline Wilsford, Marketing Director at BlaBlaCar. "We wanted an identity that is both unique and consistent across all our markets, while remaining true to our mission: making every place accessible to everyone."

The iconic quotation mark symbol—reflecting both conversation and the "B"s in BlaBla—now embodies the importance of community more than ever. In addition to representing the driver and the passenger, they now serve as the anchor point for a seamless travel experience capable of connecting any point A to point B.

"True Blue": An Electric and Accessible Energy

At the heart of this redesign, BlaBlaCar’s new color identity centers around True Blue (#0071EB). This signature blue breathes modern energy into the brand's ecosystem. Beyond aesthetics, this palette was driven by a goal of modernization and inclusion.

The bold contrast between the new colors ensures better readability for all members, including users with visual impairments, anticipating future digital accessibility standards. This evolution is accompanied by the adoption of the GT Eesti typefaces, providing greater clarity across all digital platforms.

This renewal also marks a break from historical graphic codes: BlaBlaCar is moving away from its illustrated characters—once essential for explaining the concept of carpooling—to adopt a visual language that is more human, vibrant, and emotional. This shift toward warmer iconography better celebrates the excitement that accompanies every departure, all around the world.
